Original baby shower games?
Anyone have any original baby shower games? I'm having a baby shower for my older sister and we want to have some games that most of our guests haven't played before so that it can be a little more exciting,

What did you put on your baby shower registry?
I am 24w2d and I am going to be doing my registry soon I am wondering what types of things did you put on yours? Like did you just put newborn items or things like bigger clothes, diapers, toys for when they get a little older like 6mo 12mo? This is my first baby in a way, i have been pregnant 2 other times but had a stillbirth at 20weeks and a miscarriage at 7weeks so I dont know what I am going to need and not really need and how much of what I will need. my sister and mom were discussing with me about having the baby shower the last week of August, if I am due October 20th would it be too early? because my husband is on unemployment and so what ever we dont get at the shower we will have to buy and want to make sure we have the money. thanks a lot ladies
What would be a very creative and funny gift for a baby shower's guest of honor?
I'm just getting to know her but we adore the heck out of each other. I'd like to give her something completely ridiculous.
Would you have a baby shower, or skip it?
i'm pregnant with number 3 totally shocking outcome, seeing as i had started birth control for the first time just the month before i got pregnant. the reason i told you that is because as my son my second baby grew out of his baby stuff, i tossed what was no good and gave everything else away but thats ok, i can manage.. after two babies i know what i need and what was a waste of money.. but my family is pressuring me to do a baby shower, and i am unsure. i had a baby shower with my first because MIL insisted, skipped one with my second, and i donno about doing one for this third baby.. would you? i DO need stuff, but i don't like to invite people over just so they'll give me stuff, its just weird i don't expect anyone will throw one for me, they'll want my permission first at least.. so, does a woman only get one baby shower in her life, the first baby? or would you go along with another?
Is it ok to bring kids with you to a baby shower, or it is supposed to be adults party?
I was invited to go to this baby shower tomorrow about 3 weeks ago but just today I learnt that it would be kinda of girls out and no one will bring their children. I said I didn't have anyone to look after my 2 year old, and the organiser said in this case she is welcome but she would be the only kid there and everyone is expecting to have an adult time so I could make an effort to find someone.Why she didn't tell me this before then ? why she didn't tell me this wen she txt me to ask for a present and cake?I don't feel like going anymore and I asked a friend to take my present and cake to the party for me. Do you think I am overreacting here I know it may sound petty but I can not afford babysitter, also I was told I should not bring my child one day before the party, not enough time to find someone. I would have found someone I trust and for free if I had known this before. And even if I had spare money to pay babysitter I wouldnt because I dont like leaving my child with strangers.
Why do so many people find it ok for guys to attend (Jack & Jill) baby showers?
This concept actually makes me mad. The idea of any guy wanting to attend a baby shower let alone going is absurd and even laughable to me. When, and how and why did this become acceptable?

My friend just had a baby and he was telling me how they returned ugly outfits. I feel awkward returning gifts that came from the heart...but that's just me. This is obviously coming from a guy but it just got me wondering....did you return anything from your baby shower.

Another baby shower ???: would it be ok if I helped with the food?
I really enjoy entertaining. My friends that offered to throw the shower will do the food but it is more my thing to want to do party food. Would it be ok if I offered to make the food? It would save them time and $$$ and I really like to do this. Would it be rude if I offered? How should I approach this? Thanks I was thinking a sandwich ring, taco dip, maybe pepperoni rolls...basically some finger foods that are yummy

I have a wonderful friend who is expecting a baby. Her mother is already throwing her a baby shower. I wanted to throw her another shower but didn't know quite how to do it. I don't want to be disrespectful and have her family think that the one they are throwing isn't enough I just want to show her I care and this way she will be able to get more gifts for the baby She has done so much for me during my pregnancy and wedding events that I want to return the favor.My first question is what kind of party should it be. A pamper the mommy party where everyone just brings her gifts to help her out with the mommy hood transition since this is her first child. I would also need a name for that kind of party to put on the invites.Or should I have a second baby shower or I was thinkin like a pamper day or a brunch or something with a small group of friends...HELP

I'm giving my friend a baby shower, she doesn't know if it's a boy or girl so we haven't go all the colors down yet. But what are some good ideas of things to do at a baby shower and foods? My cousin and another friend are going to make a cake, cookies and rice crispy treats. I guess that's got the sweets covered, but I don't really know how many people are coming yet.
